Permits for Enter/Exit Gaza

INGO International staff wishing to enter Gaza:

- Applications for foreigners to enter Gaza must be submitted via CLA Erez website:
www.clagaza.org – first, you need to open an account for your organization and once your account is cleared you can submit the applications - After signing up for an account on the website, you should send an email to the relevant office at CLA (according to the contact list in the website) for user approval.

- You can check the status of the permit requests on-line at www.clagaza.org (status check).

East Jerusalem ID holders are requested to present their Jerusalem ID, Israeli Travel document and two passport size photographs at Erez crossing when entering Gaza.

  • Applications for Gaza ID holders to enter Jerusalem/West Bank must be submitted via CLA Erez website: www.clagaza.org – first, you need to open an account for your organization and once your account is cleared you can submit the applications - After signing up for an account on the website, you should send an email to the relevant office at CLA (according to the contact list in the website) for user approval.
  • You can check the status of the permit requests on-line at www.clagaza.org (status check).
  • processing of the permits takes upto 20 days.

Gaza national staff only - Jordanian “Non-objection letter” to travel to Jordan through King Hussein Bridge.

  • Completed visa form in English.download
  • Photocopies of UN ID or UNLP and national ID.
  • An official support letter from the agency indicates the purpose of travel to Jordan and the dates
  • Two photographs ( passport size).
  • Submission via fax (Average of 10 waiting days): 80 NIS fee.
  • Submission via mail: (Average of 40 waiting days) free of charge.
  • Permission fees (to be paid upon reception of letter): 48 NIS

To be submitted to the representative office of Jordan in Ramallah three weeks in advance.

Can be submitted by the staff member or anyone on behalf.

UN national staff -Gaza ID holders- wishing to exit Gaza via Rafah:
  • Copy of passport and UN ID.
  • Support letter from Agency explaining the purpose of the trip (in Arabic).
  • INGOs and foreign nationals who wish to enter/exit Gaza through Rafah crossing are advised to apply for a prior-coordination through their embassies, consulates or representative offices.

Applications should be sent to ACU at nadera@unops.org at least 2 weeks prior to traveling.


UN/INGO National Staff(West Bank ID holders) wishing to enter Gaza:

Your application must be sent one month in advance.

The documents needed are:

  • Permit request(download)
  • A copy of the National I.D.
  • A copy of the UN/INGO I.D.
  • Support letter from your Agency/Organization
