Egyptian Border Crossings Operating Hours

    As a result of the outbreak of the coronavirus:
  • Entering Israel: The Israeli Ministry of Health Entry Statement Form is required to be filled and submitted within 48 hours before boarding flights to Israel, or within 10 days before arriving at any Israeli international land border crossing. : https://corona.health.gov.il/en/flights/
  • Entering Jordan: National travellers to Jordan are required to obtain a QR entry code prior to travel:https://www.gateway2jordan.gov.jo/index.html
Nitzana/Al Auja crossing Sunday - Thursday Friday - Saturday
Freight terminal 08:30 - 16:30 Closed
Note
For imports: In order to release goods from storage, it is advisable to arrive no later than 14:00.

For exports: It is advisable to arrive in the morning and no later than 13:00.
 
Taba crossing Sunday - Thursday Friday - Saturday

To Egypt:
• In advance online registration – exit fees payment – through https://borderpay.metropolinet.co.il/
• In advance PCR test -negative result -conducted 72 hours prior arrival at Taba Crossing ( if travellers hold IL MoH vaccination certificates, then there is no need for the in advance PCR test)
• Access through Taba is only allowed by foot, if in Car, then must be pre coordinated through https://borderpay.metropolinet.co.il/
• Taba Crossing operating hours: from Sunday to Saturday from 0800-1600 hours.

To Israel:

Foreign nationals

Foreign nationals of all ages will be permitted to enter the country, regardless of their vaccination/recovery status, subject to the following entry procedures:

  • Fill out the online MoH form during the 10 days before arrival through land crossings (as early as possible)  (https://corona.health.gov.il/flights/). Without filling out the form, it is not possible to be allowed to cross.
  • Performing a NEGATIVE PCR test up to 72 hours before boarding. 
  • All passengers, regardless of their vaccination/recovery status, must enter isolation for 24 hours or until they receive their negative PCR test from Taba Crossing, whichever is first.

***Please note that holders of valid MFA cards are exempted from the in-advance PCR test, but still subject to the on-arrival PCR test and must fill out the online MoH form as per the above instruction.

Israeli ID holders 

  • Fill out the online MoH form up to 48 hours before boarding their flight (https://corona.health.gov.il/flights/). 
  • Israeli ID holders will only be required to undergo a PCR test upon entering the country. The in-advance PCR test is no longer required.
  • All passengers, regardless of their vaccination/recovery status, must enter isolation for 24 hours or until they receive their negative PCR test from Taba crossing, whichever is first.

Rafah crossing Sunday - Thursday Friday - Saturday
Passenger terminal 8:00-17:00 Closed
Notes
As of 01 February 2019, Rafah Crossing was open in both directions on week days and closed on weekends for pre-registered Gaza ID Holders.
The situation at the crossing and the Sinai is still unstable, and travellers should confirm Rafah Crossing is open before proceeding to the crossing.
